I was booked in for my ACL reconstruction on Tuesday 25th September. I’m not going to lie I was petrified as I’ve never had an operation or anaesthetic in my life. I booked into ward 7 and from the start everyone was lovely and reassuring. When it was my turn for surgery there were 5 people in the anaesthetic room with Me who all provided me with support and reassurance. They knew I was scared by my heavy breathing lol. Next thing I know I’m waking up. I was taken to ward 6 where I was cared for With high standards. Nothing was too much trouble, I felt safe and cared for and was always greeted with a smile. The ward was lovely and clean and the tea lady made the best cuppas. Everyone worked as a team and I would definitely recommend going to Goole everytime. You made my first experience of surgery and staying in hospital a pleasant experience. Thank you all so much. I’m happy to report I’m recovering nicely at home.
