"Outstanding care"

About: Forth Valley Royal Hospital / Acute assessment unit

(as a relative),

My mother was admitted to AAU following a collapse at home. She was cared for by a young nurse named Rachel, who has recently returned from maternity leave.

I would just like to express our gratitude to Rachel for her outstanding care, nothing was too much bother for her. She was compassionate, patient and understanding with our mother. We encountered a number of auxiliaries who also treated my mother with care and respect.

The ward seemed quite busy, and Rachel seemed to have a lot going on but continued to smile throughout the day.

She is a credit to the ward.

Thank you again

Dear MrsT19,

Thank you very much for taking the time to leave feedback on the Care Opinion platform. This is very much appreciated.

I am sorry to learn that your mother suffered a collapse and required admission to our unit. I very much hope that she is now doing well and on her way to recovering. This must have been a worrying time for you, your family and your mother. I am delighted to hear that Rachel made such an impact on your mothers experience and equally your family's experience. I will share this feedback with her directly and I am certain that she will be delighted to know that she was thought to have delivered outstanding care.

I am very proud of the whole team within the Acute Medical Unit as their hard work, compassion and commitment to person centred care often goes unnoticed. Thank you once again for sharing this and I wish you and your mother well.

Best wishes,

Gavin Dolan

Mrs T19

Thank you very much for taking the time to post this feed back on the care opinion site.

It is always so nice to hear positive feedback and I am delighted to hear that both you and your mother have had such a positive experience within our unit. I will ensure that we share this feedback with all our staff and especially Rachel who will be delighted to hear this. It is so nice to have our staffs hard work recognised in this way and I hope that your mother is on the road to recovery.
