My autistic son has extreme anxiety and had been unable to attend appointments with his orthodontist. After finding a new dentist willing to help he was referred to the local hospital to have them removed (within cycling distance which is the only way he travels). He was a little late on arriving as he got lost but the staff were patient and understanding while my husband drove to find him. He was unable to enter the clinic so the orthodontist treated him outside and removed the majority of his braces there. He went at pace suitable for our son, stopping for a break when needed. He was able to get him into the clinic to remove the glue and was kind, understanding and patient throughout.
We can't thank the staff enough. They are a credit to the NHS. I hope they receive this praise. We are so grateful.
