"Hope for the future"

About: University Hospital Wishaw / General Medicine (Wards 5 & 8)

(as the patient),

I have iga vasculitis and have seen numerous doctors regarding my condition and how to manage it with medication. I was getting weaker and less mobile and I was sent to see Kirsty at wishaw occupational therapy department. Kirsty was an excellent listener and really displayed empathy towards my situation. She was very knowledgeable regarding changes I could make to make daily living easier and gave me websites to look at too for additional tools. Kirsty also put my name down for a Fatigue clinic as this is a major problem for me. Kirsty let me feeling hope for the future and for the first time happy leaving an appointment as I felt I had truly been heard. Thanks again
