About: Lincoln County Hospital / Gastroenterology Washingborough Family Practice

(as the patient),

I contacted my GP (Washingborough Family Practice) and was given an emergency appointment. My doctor (Dr Owen) immediately referred me to County Hospital. on the Wednesday of the same week I received a telephone appointment for the next morning (Thursday). I received a call from a nurse in Endoscopy who, after answering several questions, gave me an appointment for the Sunday afternoon. I was seen by two nurses and a specialist nurse who conducted the colonoscopy and then prepared a report. This was then discussed with me and my wife.

It is indicative of the exemplary care I have received from the Washingborough Family practice and the Lincoln County Hospital over the past 12 years.

Dear Hrodelburt

Thank you so much for your feedback, it is always good to hear about a patients experience and I am delighted that the care you received from everyone was described by you as “exemplary”. Patients who need to attend Endoscopy are often concerned about the experience due to the nature of the procedures carried out in the department. The whole team work hard to deliver the best care and reassurance that they can for all patients. As Matron for the area I am always delighted to hear that the team achieved this. I will ensure that the staff see your comments. Once again many thanks

Kind regards

Julie Scott

Matron
