I am currently still waiting in the queue for the Opthamology outpatients to answer the phone.
so far 1 hour 50 mins. When you are told at the start of the call you are no 11 in the queue, why so long?
This is the 3rd time I have tried to get through for my Mother. She is waiting for her follow up appointment after retinal surgery. Thursday 27th September 45 minutes and nothing. Monday 1st 1 hour and nothing. and now . . .
Her consultant is brilliant but the outpatients phone wait is awful.
She is meant to see him in 2 weeks time but no appointment.
At 83 my Mum is very stressed by these problems. Not helping her recovery is it.
Please can you sort this out as a matter of urgency.
What if someone was trying to get through to cancel an appointment? this appointment would then be wasted and the poor patient my not get offered another one through no fault of there own.
No 2 hours waiting and no answer. I am going to try going down to the hospital and if the receptionist is as rude to me as a previous comment suggested you will be hearing from me again
"Opthalmology Outpatients phone line."
