About: Ninewells Hospital / Cardiology Ninewells Hospital / Medical High Dependency

(as the patient),

I was admitted to ninewells with a heart attack. I got stents fitted and was transferred to ward 1. I was still not well and thankfully one of the nurses (Amy) tested my blood sugars only to find they were dangerously high. I was immediately transferred to hdu to be stabilised before being returned to ward 1. It is only because the nurse found my sugars were so high I was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes. I cannot thank the staff enough for the care they took.

 More so they took the time to speak to me and explain different things about my condition, although they were very busy it did not matter they still took the time to explain everything I needed to know. I cannot praise the staff enough for being so caring and understanding. It is Thanks to the staff on ward 1 that I am still here today.
