Nearly two years from being told needed surgery to have the surgery is a long time.
Being one of the first to have MRI scanning in Scotland, equipment is now past it's best (breakdowns), causing holdups to the service.
Even at surgery level, felt as if money was an issue.
Ward 65 is excessively warm.
The food was of a better quality than having experienced in the past at SNHS.
General staff on the ward were helpful, but some not as understanding of pain levels/general toll of surgery as would have expected. Seemed in an excessive hurry for me to be discharged.
Anaesthesia intubation caused swelling to lips, this was not a problem. When I asked about it, and someone came to see me about it, said they "couldn't see anything". This, in my opinion, was untrue, as staff on ward could see it. To me, this was totally unacceptable.
Feel as if surgery was routine to the staff, it is not as the patient.
Information provided about surgery carried out was sparse.
"My experience."
