"Surgery for Brain Tumour"

About: Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust - Queen's Medical Centre Campus / Neurosurgery

After being diagnosed with a low grade glioma brain tumour on 20th June i was admitted to QMC on 6th September for surgery to remove the tumour. I am thrilled (understatement) to say that my wonderful surgeon Prof Stuart Smith was able to remove the whole tumour and i simply cannot thank him and his team enough. I'm not one for Drs and hospitals and luckily made a speedy recovery and was discharged four days after the operation. The staff on NSPU and D10 were all wonderful and i am grateful for the care and kindness they showed me during my stay with them, thank you all so so much. Sadly i cannot remember the names of all the team involved but they were all wonderful xx

Thank you for your kinds words Heather. I’m so pleased that you had such a positive experience while on NSPU and Ward D10 at QMC and that you have had a speedy recovery. I’ll make sure your comments are shared with both teams.

All the best

Louise Challans, Matron, Surgery
