"More than satisfied with the whole experience"

About: Highfield Hospital

I was funded by the nhs for a total hip replacement and was seen 18 weeks from doctors referral.

All my outpatients appointments were stressfree, it was easy to park, not long to wait in reception and the utmost respect and care from all the professionals.

My consultant discussed the proposed surgery and answered my questions, showing me x ray s and explaining what he may have to carry out.

My date was set for mid September and it was spot on the 15th, followed by preoperative assessment which was thorough. I also had a c.t.scan prior to this in a mobile unit which visits highfiel d each week, the staff in the unit were also personable.

On the day of admission i naturally felt nervous but as soon as I arrived the atmosphere and the general family feeling of the team made me relax.

My room was clean and pleasant with ensuite and television which was an added bonus.

Post surgery my card was impeccable both from the professionals and the support team who always had a smile.

I didn't expect i would have an appetite but surprisingly the menu did not fail to please, the hot chocolate is the best in the land.

My consultant visited me and confirmed that all had gone well and that my x rays post operatively were o.k.

I feel fortunate to receive the standard of care i did and that our nh s has rooted the bill.

I would recommend this hospital one hundred per cent.
