"Caring and kind staff in A&E for self harm care"

About: Aberdeen Royal Infirmary / Emergency Medicine

(as a service user),

After arriving by ambulance for a severe self harm incident, I was met by the doctor and nurses. The care was amazing from start to finish. They were very non judgemental and were so kind and caring. I've had bad experiences in the past when I've presented to a& e for self harm, but this time was a positive experience. One of the nurses even washed all the blood off me from head to toe, which was very much appreciated before I went to the ward. I wish there was more I could give back in return to the staff other than a well deserved 'thank you' as I hope they realise how invaluable they are to this NHS trust.
