I was admitted via Accident and emergency
to Dr Grays with severe abdominal pain in the early hours of a Thursday in August. I then went to SAU for assessment then ward 5 for treatment.
I was in severe pain and anxious to know why and for the pain to improve.
Once in to accident and emergency I was treated promptly and efficiently and investigation and treatment commenced. (Thanks Dr Ellie and Morag)
I then went to SAU where I was very well looked after. (Thanks Alison) and attended for CT scan.
My scan showed a perforated diverticulum which was a surprise but relief to know what was causing my symptoms.
I then went up to ward 5 for almost a week of more treatment and recovery. (Thanks to all. Shelley, Jan, Sara, Amanda, Victoria, Jim, Amy, Alison and many more.)
This was a busmans holiday for me and was very reassuring and humbling to be so well looked after by colleagues, friends and new acquaintances.
Thankyou very much Dr Grays. You do a great job. Xxx
