As an outpatient with a suspected bone infection, the team at Blackburn were outstanding. At an extremely busy time for the hospital (waiting times in A&E of several hours) I was dealt with sympathetically by friendly and helpful staff. I had blood tests and x-rays, then a consultation with an orthopedic doctor, who explained his diagnosis in detail for me. Unfortunately the drugs that were prescribed for me were not available on the ward, so I had to make the journey back to Blackburn the following day. I was a little apprehensive, having read four damning reviews of the pharmacy, but it couldn't have been further from the truth. Once again they were helpful and friendly, and I was in and out in just 14 minutes, AND with the correct prescriptions! It's very clear that the hospital is overstretched, with everyone going well beyond the call of duty - they have my utter respect and admiration. I'm choosing Pharmacy Services for this post, but obviously it applies to both areas - a choice of two isn't available
"Excellent if somewhat painful experience!"
