Jenny got in touch following a referral by the District Nurses looking after my husband who has advanced Parkinson's Disease amongst other things. My husband is wheelchair bound and because of his Parkinsons can be very stiff and a dead weight when myself and his carers are trying to deal with him which is a strain on our backs. Jenny was concerned about this and recommended a bed hoist but after consideration when it had arrived we decided that we needed something that just one person could handle rather than two. She duly organised an Oxford Standing hoist which has been invaluable both to myself and to his daily carers. Jenny really made a great effort to sort this out and we are all very grateful.
Full marks to Jenny as she can also be quite persuasive when I'm not keen on something she wants me to try like the reclining chair for my husband. Eventually I gave in and she ordered it and I have to say husband has been using it. I was not happy about the state of his derriere whilst sitting on this and contacted Jenny who then organised I think it was a sort of air cushion which so far seems to work better. Jenny has always been very friendly and helpful and nothing is too much trouble for her and we are very pleased with all the assistance she has given us.
"Full marks to this Occupational Therapist!"
