Having being admitted for suspected appendicitis I can only commend the care received. Having waited a short time on the assessment ward I was seen and promptly dealt with and every possible detail explained and question answered.
Having been waiting a few hours I was sent for a CT scan which confirmed appendicitis and was told that it would be removed ASAP the following morning which meant I could relax and prepare for the following day.
Having being transferred to ward S10, all I can say is a big thankyou to all staff involved right from the nurses to consultants. At every opportunity I was informed as to what would be happening and when and nothing was too much trouble. It’s just a shame the staff aren’t more plentiful which would mean the excellent staff already there are helped and their workload reduced a little to relive the stress.
