"Suspected heart attack"

About: Aberdeen Royal Infirmary / Acute Medical Initial Assessment Aberdeen Royal Infirmary / Emergency Medicine Peterhead Community Hospital / Accident & Emergency Scottish Ambulance Service / Emergency Ambulance

(as the patient),

Was at home, with husband, awaiting paramedics and feeling very concerned. Had never experienced pain like this before, or such unsteadiness on standing.

Within, which felt like minutes, two local First Responders arrived, followed by an ambulance.
Following assessment by paramedics - I was taken by ambulance to Peterhead hospital and after GP contact, taken to ARI Ward 101.
Albeit, less anxious, I was almost reluctant to go to ARI.
The nurse on duty and paramedics, put me at ease, almost immediately.
Appropriate humour by the paramedics made me feel much more relaxed.  Their advice to my husband was also appreciated.
Taken to ward 101, where nurses were awaiting my arrival.
