We wanted to pass on our grateful thanks to the staff at the Plane Tree Centre, from the surgeon to the anaesthetist to the nursing staff. Our daughter has learning difficulties, ADHD & symptoms of autism and any change particularly relating to medical care causes difficulties because of her fears and the strange situation. At her pre-assessment things did not go to plan and she refused to have a blood test, but the staff gave her a special booklet to complete and take in on the day of surgery, which we were told could still go ahead.
The staff took the booklet on admission and they could not be more attentive and kind taking into account her medical notes and given the amount of patients being dealt with today.
The staff took note of the booklet, as even though she looks like a typical 20 year old, but she reverts to a much younger child and they treated her very individually according to her reactions to the situation and our guidance, which made the whole nervous experience run smoothly. So a very BIG THANK YOU to all the staff concerned.
"They treated her very individually"
