About: Conquest Hospital / Gynaecology

I stayed on the ward from 14th to 16th August following a total abdominal hysterectomy. I can’t praise the staff enough I didn’t even want to go home. The ward is clean and comfortable and the bay I stayed In was very calming and my bed was so comfortable. I was very nervous before my surgery and the nurses and care staff were kind and caring and were so helpful. I was also very impressed with the hospital food that I had throughout my stay. I would highly recommend this ward.

First and foremost, we very much hope you are making a full and comfortable recovery following your procedure, and are in good spirits. The Trust works hard to provide a high standard of care for all patients, underpinned by the values in treatment of kindness, compassion, dignity and respect, and we are delighted to read this was your experience.

When patients are undergoing particularly sensitive or intimate procedures, they will want to have trust and confidence in the staff, and it is therefore assuring to read that you found staff to be helpful and supportive at what can only have been an anxious and nervous time. Additionally a stay in hospital away from familiarity, creature comforts and loved ones, can also be unsettling, and we are pleased you found the Gynaecology Unit to be clean and comfortable, with good food provided.

We will ensure your feedback is shared with staff as they will be delighted to know how much patients value and appreciate, and wish you all the very best in your future health and well-being.
