"superb service. long wait for treatment!"

About: Circle Bath

Yesterday I attended Circle Bath for

Radio Frequency Ablation (treatment to my varicose veins). Staff were efficient, friendly and knowledgeable, and the treatment very good. Many thanks for that!

HOWEVER I was instructed to arrive at 12.30, but didn't go for my surgery until 5.45- what a terrible waste of time! I saw the surgeon at about 2pm who advised me to go home and return about 5- well how ridiculous! (also I live too far away to do this). Staff must know in the morning of the surgery which order they are going to treat the patients- surely they can let patients know more precisely what time to arrive? even the nurses said they didn't understand why I needed to come so early and said they thought it was a daft! it just meant that by the time I had my surgery I was pretty wound up, fed up and angry.

Please can you look at your procedures and make them more patient-focused and not system-focused.

Thank you for your feedback, it is always appreciated. We do listen to our patients and discuss any concerns which are raised.

As an explanation, following your feedback, we ask all patients to come in at either 07:00 for a morning operation or 12:30 for an afternoon operation.

This is so that you are in the hospital and admitted in advance of the theatre session starting.

Our surgeons and anaesthetists will speak to every patient before the theatre session commences.
