I was diagnosed with Morton's Neuroma and was, after some preliminary steroid injection treatment at Holme Valley Day Surgery booked in for a surgical procedure
to confirm the diagnosis and hopefully correct the neuroma.
I can only say what a pleasure it was to be treat by the staff at Holme Valley.
I would describe the whole team from first point of contact at the reception to first point of contact with a scalpel to aftercare as 5 star.
I was taken in to pre-op just 10 minutes after arriving. Amid an atmosphere of professionalism and friendliness, I was on my way to theatre feeling confident I was in the right hands. The surgeon had introduced himself before hand in pre-op and theatre was well attended by nurses and a student nurse eager to learn.
The procedure was carried out efficiently and there was a lovely friendly feel to proceedings which put me at ease.
My post-op care immediately after was first rate and the nursing staff kept my wife informed as to what was happening and where I was in the procedure. She was waiting in the cafe where she received updates.
After approximately two and a half hours I was on my way home. My foot felt comfortable and I had been programmed with the information I needed for an optimal recovery and rehabilitation.
Two subsequent visits back have been fuss free and professional, continuing my excellent care.
The best NHS treatment, I believe I've ever had.
