About: University Hospital Monklands / Clinical Haematology (Ward 16)

(as a relative),

As a family we wish to express our thanks to the staff of ward 16 Monklands hospital, unfortunately we lost our dad on Friday and throughout his stay within the ward the nursing care we received was excellent, his every need was taken care of and definitely "Person Centered", the nursing staff were friendly, communicative, approachable and competent.

The family's needs were also considered and we were never made to feel we were "in the way" and we really appreciated this

We were so grateful that the palliative care team were involved and their input resulted in him being painfree, comfortable and very peaceful  at the end of his life.

Dear rol123

May I take this opportunity to extend my sympathy to you for posting your thanks on care opinion for our staff in Ward 16 and the palliative care team at which must be a very difficult time for you.

We endeavour to provide the best possible care for all our patients and their families so I was encouraged to read that you and your family were looked after and that you never felt to be in the way. It is extremely important to us that during the last days with your dad you and your family felt supported by the team looking after him.

The input by palliative care is vitally important to ensure that your dad was pain free and comfortable and I will make sure your grateful thanks are also shared with the team.

Thank you again for taking the time to provide feedback during this sad time. Please pass on my sincere condolences to your family.
