I recently moved from Pudsey to Notton and can categorically state that this practice epitomises a total lack of respect and dignity is the matter in which its GPs dispense their services.
My experience was compounded following a recent cerebral haemorrhage and hospital confinement. Upon discharge, my Pinderfield's consultant issues the surgery with a discharge letter.
The GP had clearly chosen not to read my latest notes and simply challenged me as to what was wrong and why I had requested a consultation.
I felt awkward and embarrassed with this line of questioning, but particularly uneasy with the manner in which they criticised my consultant's competence.
I explained what I had experienced and brought in a copy of the discharge letter they had already been provided with.
At this point, the doctor suggested it might be a good idea to read the email version in their possession.
The uncomfortable silence was further exacerbated with blunt questioning that lacked a shred of compassion.
To my horror, the doctor simply prescribed a double dose of antidepressants. I let the surgery seething in anger and distressed with the experience.
I did not present the prescription at the chemist. Instead, I took a vow never to return to this surgery again.
Quite simply, this was one of the worst experiences in my life. I have never felt so humiliated.
Regardless what happens, I will never return to this place.
