About: Newton Heath Medical Centre

Me and my partner has been registered now to this practice for 2 years, we are rarely seek the attention of a doctor unless we are very unwell, we both work full time and have to have good health to perform our day to day duties and it is impossible to get a appointment here. Average waiting is 2/3 weeks to see a GP and no emergency appointment facilities. They are obviously over run yet on here I can see they are still accepting patients!!

We are sorry that you are unhappy with our service provided by the Practice but I wish to reassure you that the Practice does have facilities for patients requiring urgent treatment; this information is available on our website www.generalpracticenewtonheathhealthcentre.nhs.uk and in our Practice Leaflet.

We are also members of the GP Federation which allows the Practice to book limited appointments at other surgeries - the reception staff will offer these appointments when available.

Our appointment book is set up to release some appointments 2 days, 7 days in advance and these are available from 9:00am each day - You can either ring, call into the surgery or book on-line (to register follow the link https://patient.emisaccess.co.uk )

In the past we have applied to close our list but our application was not accepted and therefore we have an open list which means we cannot refuse new patients.

We monitor our list size monthly and it has stayed static since August 2016

We actively encourage feedback as a means of continually improving our services if you wish to join our Patient Participation Group or wish to discuss this matter further please contact the surgery 0161 681 1353
