after going private Initially and having a colonoscopy my surgeon discovered a very large polyp in lower part of my bowel covering my illecael valve and appendix. He decided it just come out as would turn cancerous and he advised he would do this under the nhs in Warrington general. I was very upset at first with this as had previous poor experiences. However respecting his reasons for post op care and potential complications I agreed
The staff on A6 were amazing from start to finish. I felt safe and trusting in them. They made me comfortable and were there at the drop of a hat. They explained everything they were doing and nothing was too much trouble. Even the domestics were lovely.
Unfortunately after discharge I had complications. My main wound was badly infected and I had to attend a&zee where I met the oncall reg. he was lovely but had to perform a rather unpleasant and painful procedure to get the infection out. From them on in I attended SAU daily for 13 weeks. During this time it was also discovered I had rare blood clots which to say was scary is an understatement. However every single one of those staff including my surgeon and the reg were and are amazing.
It’s been 14 weeks and I’ve just been discharged from SAU with my wound which is almost healed finally.
I still have to see other consultants but thanks to the amazing staff I’m on the mend. They know who they are. Wonderful catering genuine professionals. Thank you from the bottom of my heart
