"Thank you so much"

About: Scunthorpe General Hospital / Accident and emergency

Attended A&E on Saturday 21st July 2018.

I had, had an accident and seriously cut my wrist.

Within minutes of being in A&E a nurse was by my side applying a dressing and asking if I needed painkillers.

After I’d say about 20 minutes I was seen by a lovely Dr, who checked my wound and sent me to X-ray to make sure there were no foreign bodies in my wound.

X-ray staff, very quick, lovely and efficient.

Back to A&E and waited possibly 40 minutes to see the Dr again.

I needed 3 stitches and the Dr put me at ease and we had a good rapport.

I thanked him fully as he was so kind, he did tell me however that he had just been given a mouthful by another patient and I felt so sorry for him as no NHS staff needs this kind of abuse!

I did see for myself your security staff being abused by a member of public on the same date.

I then went back to my seat after being stitched to wait for a nurse to give me my tetanus injection.

Would like to say a huge thank you to you all.

You were so kind and compassionate.

Hello. Ouch! Sounds like a nasty accident but we're really pleased that we could ease your fears and that you were on the mended pretty quickly. Thanks for letting us know of your experience at SGH.
