"Stretched to the full"

About: Forth Valley Royal Hospital / Clinical assessment unit

(as a parent/guardian),

My Mother was admitted to CAU recently. I had some time with my mother. she kept wanting out to go somewhere but she did not know where.  I repeatedly asked the nurse.  I had two and a half hours of dealing with my mother.  I went out for a coffee and when I came in my mother was outside and started to fall and I rushed to save her.  I wanted a doctor to speak to now. at this time every time this pain came she really got very  upset.  a doctor came and sent her for an x ray and  and took blood of her and I really was struggling to her my mother howl with pain.  I cant really fault the staff nurses they were stretched to the full  but if there were more nursing staff there it would have greatly improved the service. I felt at this time how the other patients was coping?
