"Difficulties with appointments"

My husband was referred by an orthodontist after discovering some abnormalities in his mouth/ cavity. We waited and waited and waited   for an appointment. But after waiting nearly three months we felt this was a bit excessive to wait just to get a date for an appointment. After phoning appointments we were told due to the change in their system his appointment had been lost. I felt this was an excuse as always. So a new appointment was to be sent out! While we waited on that a letter arrived telling my husband he was booked in for elective major surgery on his mouth and he was to phone for instructions the night before etc etc. We couldn’t believe it! We were in shock! We thought there was something seriously wrong with him that this had came through as he hadn’t even had a scan nor had he seen a consultant! BUT they were doing major surgery! So I get back on the phone. Guess what another computer error! ! ! Wow eh! No apology that they caused distress to us just basically it’s a glitch! So an appointment was sent out by letter to see a consultant but days before my husband was due to go another letter arrived cancelling the first letter/date   and arranging another date. We accepted it ( not very happily ) and made arrangements to attend the new appointment. But hey ho out the blue a phone call cancelling that second appointment and giving another ( third ) appointment. This time though we said that one wasn’t going to suit as we were on holiday. Do you know the reply we   got? Well if you can’t make that appointment you’ll go back to the bottom of the list! Are you kidding me? I feel like the whole service my husband has reviewed from appointments has been an absolute joke! Missing, changing, scaring the living daylights out of us and then back to the bottom! None of this his fault. This has been going on for months and months and I feel like no one seems to care. It feels like no one supervises what these people do in appointments. Disgusted doesn’t cover it.
