"Looked after with genuine empathy"

About: Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust - Queen's Medical Centre Campus / Paediatrics

(as a carer),

We visited with my young daughter who had suffered a minor head injury.

The triaging nurse was supportive and caring.

The doctor who then saw my daughter was also very supportive and non- judgemental.

Not only did staff look after my daughter with genuine empathy, they also checked that we, as parents were ok and made the effort to ensure that we felt supported.

We were at the department for a very short time and seen promptly.

I understand how under pressure the staff and department can be as I am a mental health nurse and have experienced this first hand.

The team do fantastic work and went above and beyond to ensure that we were looked after. Thank you.
