"Catering at Darent Valley Hospital"

I suffer with food intolerances about which I have not, up until now, had any understanding when an inpatient in hospital.   I was recently admitted to Darent Valley and having bought this to the attention of catering staff (Lousie and Giya on AMU ward) they went out of their way to investigate ingredients.   Louise also brought the lack of information for patients and the catering staff regarding ingredients in the food to the attention of her manager Chris.   Chris made a personal visit to me and my family to discuss my requirements and to see how things could be improved for the future.   Chris also left me a folder, which he had constructed after being made aware, containing information regarding the ingredients of the items on the menu, so I was able to make informed choices.   He also came back to see me to ensure that this was working and had made further investigations.   He has also advised that he intends to continue to improve the information and awareness for patients and staff.   The assistance of all 3 is greatly appreciated.
