"Waiting a year for a rheumatology appointment"

About: University Hospital Ayr / Rheumatology

(as the patient),

The story from kity about waiting years before anything starts getting done. I am in the same position I have been in agony with siatical arthritis I. e. psorisis & arthritis together. I have been in agony since the middle of april this year 2018.

I have been sore for years with arthritis, my last appointment was in November 2017. They told me an appointment will be sent out to me GUESS WHEN NOVEMBER THIS YEAR 2018, A full year between appointments. I think this is disgusting. Where does all the money from workers go. the stuff that says nhi on your pay slip. I thought it meant national health insurance, so all this about free from cradle to grave is political jargon.

Dear P andre

Thank you so much for raising your concerns via the Care Opinion website.

I can feel your frustration and sense the pain that you are in within the contents of your message.

I would like to look into your case with the management team to try and understand why you have to wait 12 months for your next appointment.

If you are willing to provide me your details I am happy to pick this up on your behalf.

Your details can be provided to Tracy Scott, my PA by contacting her on:

Tel: 01292 617126 or e-mailš: tracy.scott@aapct.scot.nhs.uk

Best wishes

John
