"Chairs in waiting room"

About: Lincoln County Hospital

Several chairs in the waiting room of a&e were broken and the supports for the backs of the chairs were protruding dangerously.

If someone had fallen for example an elderly person or a child or even a drunk, they could have incurred a serious injury. The staff were great, the treatment my husband received was great, it was such a shame about the dangerous chairs. I know a warning notice was stuck on the chairs but people ignored that. What happened to heath and safety?

Not a very good advert for nhs 70th birthday.

Thank you for the comments about the care your husband received and for raising your concern regarding the seating, we are in the process of replacing all of the seating but unfortunately there has been a delay.

We have ordered some temporary seating as an interim measure.

Regards

Sister Karen Hansord, A&E Department
