"Awful on every level"

About: Springmead Surgery, Chard

Despite one star review I will say some of the doctors are very good. It’s a shame that;

Cannot call before 8:30 even tho they say hey open from 8 - not good if you are told to call back next day and you start work at a schools at 8:30!

Receptionists are not helpful at all unless to really get pushy.

Telephone appointments before you can see GP even when GP tells you to make appointment after a period of time.

Receptionist will not make phone appointment if GP is not there to check if free.

GET A DIARY!!

Daughter has had 2 years of mouth ulcers that no one is taking seriously and she is made to feel bad whenever going in.

Will be moving whole family to another practice as this place is a joke.

We regret that your experience of our GP telephone triage service has not been good: we are attempting to balance increasing pressures on GPs with the need to ensure we have sufficient GP capacity set aside each day to manage acute illness. By doing so our GPs can provide sufficient same day urgent appointments for patients they have triaged following a telephone consultation that day. In recent months these pressures have been exacerbated by the absence of 1 GP who though illness was unable to be at work, and the impact this had on forward planning GP appointments. Receptionists try their best to manage these pressures but we do apologise if they have come across as unhelpfu as that is not our intention at all.
