"Emergency Admission"

About: North Devon District Hospital / Gynaecology

To all the staff I came into contact with following my emergency admission you are what makes the NHS great.

The kindness and understanding you have shown me and my partner during what has been a huge trauma cannot be praised highly enough.

From the reception I received at A&E, to the staff and the doctors who initially treated me on KGV plus the on call gynae team, the staff on the EPAU, the theatre team and the night nurses and the cleaners/hosts/porters, you have done yourselves proud. You have all been a light in a very dark place.

Thank you for not just looking after me but my partner too. They often get left behind in these kinds of situations. We are both extremely grateful.

I hope the next time I have contact with North Devon Hospital will be in a work capacity as I have started to apply for jobs here.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us and I am sorry to learn that you had an emergency admission to the North Devon District Hospital (NDDH).

It is pleasing to know that your partner was also shown kindness and understanding by staff at what must have been an extremely anxious time for both of you.

I would like to wish you good luck with your job applications as the NHS can offer many opportunities resulting in a rewarding career.

I have forwarded on your kind comments to the staff involved in your care and treatment throughout your patient journey where they will be warmly appreciated.

Kind regards

Jayne
