From reception through triage to seeing the nurse practitioner I could not have been treated better. I have had regular nosebleeds since childhood and had a very scary episode before I went to hospital. The staff were very attentive and were very concerned wanting to keep me in. They managed to stem the bleed but were concerned about my pulse rate as my heart tried to push blood through me. I needed to try to contact my dad who I live with but my phone battery had died. The staff put enough charge in for me to try to contact him. They were very understanding when I couldn't reach him and had to discharge myself so that he knew where I was. They gave me loads of advice on what to do if the bleed started again. Particular praise for staff nurse J McMahon who totally made clear my options on leaving but with the clear instruction that if I got home and it started again, I had to get back in and also I should see my GP. Fantastic handling from everyone I met having had such a scare,
