"Giving birth at St. Thomas Hospital"

About: St Thomas' Hospital / Maternity care

(as the patient),

I would highly recommend St. Thomas hospital for giving birth. The staff are extremely friendly and professional, I was treated with warmth and respect throughout my stay. The midwives in the Labour Ward did an amazing job of delivering a healthy baby and I found it very easy to recover after being in their capable hands. However, the postnatal ward is in dire need of more staff, the current ratio of one midwife per eight women/babies is simply not enough.

Thank you for yor feedback. It really good to hear that your experience of giving birth was positive. We are pleased that you gelt well supported throughout the labour and you were treated with warmth and respect through out. Thank you also for comments regarding staff levels on the postnatal ward. We will share all your comments with the team in maternity so that they can share the positive feedback and review the staff issues.
