"They have created such a happy, relaxed environment"

I was recently admitted for Colorectal surgery, (Halo procedure).  It was the first time I've had a general anaesthetic so if I'm honest I suppose I was a little apprehensive.

I need not have worried, everyone was so helpful, kind, considerate and very professional.  So, if you are a first timer like me don't worry.  I can't remember going to sleep because I was busy discussing rugby and gardening with some of the operating team. They were probably very relieved when the anaesthetic forced me to stop wittering on so they could get on with their job! 

We all know the NHS is under ever increasing pressure, partly because it's having to deal with more and more old codgers like me, so it is to everyone's credit in the Day Day Surgery Centre that they have created such a happy, relaxed environment where nothing is too much trouble and the staff willingly devote as much time as you want.

Please pass on my thanks to Mr Eyre-Brook and his operating team and everyone else in the Day Surgery Centre, whose names I unfortunately cannot remember,  You are all a great credit to Musgrove Park Hospital.
