What I liked
I had moved from an area 160 miles away from Southampton and had my other children there which I liked so when I moved to Southampton I was nervous as it was not home and had read negative things,I was 2 weeks over due and had to go in early on Friday morning to be induced I was very scared .When I got there the lady on the reception desk on the induction ward just ignored I was standing there ,she was on the phone chatting not to a patient ringing up by the way she was talking but someone she knew ,when I got booked in I was told what the steps were for an induction and this was clear, the midwife was great, the student midwife was a lovely lovely lady too. When I did go into labour the midwife was brilliant, she helped me all the way through it ,i honestly hand on my heart had a fantastic experience ,I was put at ease after my baby was born she left me alone with my husband for the right amount of time to just have a moment with baby together, after on ward midwifes were very good and helpful too,I came home happy and I thought my home hospital was good but PAH was far better and I was worried over nothing,I had postnatal depression with my last child 6 years ago ,I believe having such a happy positive experience in this hospital helped me not to get this again sa bad experiences from the start of don't help.Thank you so much indeed xx
What could be improved
Only as I was booking in at reception it was slow.
"fantastic and well cared for."
