"Thanks to the renal team"

About: Renal Community Services / Renal Supportive Care Renal Outpatient Clinics

(as a service user),

I was diagnosed with renal failure approximately twenty years ago with very low kidney function but as I am needle phobic I decided against dialysis.

Now many years later I am still managing to cope thanks to the renal team and supportive renal care nurses who have all been very helpful, considerate, and caring.

All of them have helped me stay alive with medication and advice on diet. My kidney function is now 8% but I am still managing to live a fairly normal life, again, thanks to the renal team.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us. I am pleased to hear that you are finding the renal team to be supportive and it is helping you to manage your illness.

We really appreciate receiving all feedback and I will share this with the rest of the renal team.
