It's very easy to be seen as just the 'next' patient by a GP.
If your illness sits outside the 'norm' or requires additional thought, care, support and listening to the patient or parent, often the patient is left to suffer whilst the GP gets on to the next person in a long queue. The days are gone where your GP knew you on first name terms - often over many years - and established a history with you.
How refreshing to find a doctor who works by these values..the doctor deserves thanks for listening, caring and acting according to them.
I cannot vouch for the other Doctors and staff in the team - hopefully they work to the same values of patient care - but I know we should take the time to give praise where it's due.
