"A rather slow department"

About: The Maidstone Hospital / Cardiology

I have been under the cardiology department since 2010 originally under a doctor I underwent an angiography, electro and echocardiogram supplemented by halter tests, I was prescribed ace inhibitors and warfarin and was finally placed under the care of my GP practice in West Malling in 2013 as my heart failure condition was considered stable. In 2017 I felt my condition had deteriorated quite suddenly, I consulted my GP who referred me to the cardiology department at Maidstone hospital on December 4th 2017.

Possibly due to the unprecedented load the NHS was under with routine outpatient appointments being delayed I wasn't seen until March 14th 2018.

I underwent an electrocardiogram an echocardiogram and wore a halter for 24 hours.

I was then referred to the Nuclear stress test department on the 23rd March and a few days later the Nuclear relax test.

I received a letter dated 14th March saying an appointment would follow in two months, however two months later no appointment had been offered so I telephoned the department and was given enough an appointment two days later at 16.45.

I attended and was told my LV systolic function had fallen markedly but the Nuclear test results were not available as that department had just closed for the day. I was told when these were studied the next morning I would either require stents if my arteries showed deterioration or if not my heart would be given electric shock treatment to try and restore its operation, this was on the 16th of May and now it is the 26th of May and nothing has happened, can someone please tell me what is the problem?
