"Needed to see a Clinician Urgently"

I needed to see a clinician today for a worrying condition that had come on suddenly.

I rang the surgery in the morning; got through on the phone after 3 rings; got an appointment with the Nurse Practitioner at 3pm: was seen on-time and following a thorough examination was prescribed medication and advised I needed a further test.

A request for the prescription to be dispensed at a chemist close to my home was done.

I was involved in every aspect of the consultation, was treated with great respect and compassion by all concerned. The clinician informed me where I should go to get the test done and how I would be notified about the results. I left the surgery feeling completely satisfied that my presenting condition had been professionally assessed and I had confidence in the clinician.

Thankfully, I don't have to use health services very often but can only say that as a result of my experience today, I am very proud that we have such an excellent GP Surgery.
