"Positive experience"

About: Musgrove Park Hospital / Accident and emergency Musgrove Park Hospital / Colorectal surgery

(as the patient),

After not being able to get hold of my Crohns Nurses, I contacted 111 who advised me to go straight to A&E. Every person I encountered at Musgrove was so lovely- from the reception team, triage, A&E Doctor, Staff on Jowett ward and later staff on Surgical Admissions. Everyone was really helpful and understanding. My parents didnt arrive from Cornwall until 10pm and there was no difficulty with them seeing me. One minor downside was the lack of dairy free diet options. Without my family, not quite sure what I’d have eaten. I was seen promptly and staff were thorough and explained what was going on

Thank you for your email; I was disappointed to hear that you were not offered menu options to suit dairy free requirements. At Musgrove we are extremely proud of our catering - particularly choices, quality and presentation. We have an extensive range of food available to suit all requirements so I will be linking with the team on Jowet to ensure that they are offered to patients at all times

Thank you. I had the same experience on Surgical Admissions as did another lady opposite me who also had her own food brought in.
