"Professional and caring staff"

About: University Hospital Wishaw / Medical Oncology

(as the patient),

Recently I received a course of chemotherapy at the unit. The staff were caring, professional and their expertise, knowledge and skills are to be commended. The care I received was excellent but also as I have had to spend many hours in the unit I observed how caring, kind and professional staff were to all patients.

I would also like to say a special thanks to Specialist Nurses - secondary breast cancer, Jackie and Lorna who go the extra mile! They have supported and helped me through some difficult times and deserve recognition for the very important job they do.

Dear KM55

Many thanks for giving us feedback on your recent visit to the unit at Wishaw General. We strive to ensure that we deliver chemotherapy in a professional, skilled, kind and caring way as we know it is a very difficult time for patients and their families. I'm pleased to hear that you thought that their expertise, knowledge and skills are commendable.

I will ensure that your feedback is shared with all the staff in the unit and in particular the individual staff that you have mentioned are given special recognition.

Feedback is important to us so thanks again for taking the time to provide this on Care Opinion.

Warmest regards

Margaret
