About: Ayrshire & Arran Community Services / Community Mental Health Team

(as the patient),

Second (last) appointment with CPN, I got told I was too anxious to engage with services and that I would be better off doing over the phone therapy. This was only my second appointment with the CPN and dont open up to people straight away. I cant talk to people over the phone so went to GP, was then told I need to speak to CPN about not feeling comfortable over the phone...phoned CPN reception and have apparently been discharged because I agreed to over the phone therapy and to get back in touch with CPN was through my GP.

Dear Doggo1212,

In order for us to carry out enquiry regarding any individuals specific care we would need to know your details, however the intention and ambition for any of our services is to ensure that all care is delivered in a person centred way. In order for us to look at this and address any areas, can you please contact Eunice Goodwin, Patient Feedback Manager, on 01563 826 222 or by email at eunice.goodwin@aapct.scot.nhs.uk.

I would like to encourage you to contact the service again if you still require support, and we can reassess what approaches would be most advantageous for you. You also have the option to contact advocacy services to help support you to engage with the service. Advocacy services can be contacted on the following numbers:

01563 574 442 for East Ayrshire; 0800 652 2986 for North Ayrshire; or 01292 264 396 for South Ayrshire

Kind Regards

David Thomson

Associate Nurse Director
