I was due to have my operation on 18th May 2018 and had a phone call on 30th April to say there is a cancellation for the next day 1st May so I was well pleased.
I got to day care at 7:30am and found the check in staff very efficient and helpful.
I was in bed 27 and the nurse looking after me was really attentive and nice and explained everything she was doing.
The surgeon was very pleasant and he too explained everything to me and the things that could go wrong,
I was the first to go down and that was around 9am and two lovely people from theatre come and got me and we were talking about holidays which put me ast ease.
They too explained what they were going to do and I felt relaxed in their company.
The next thing I knew I was back on the day care ward and operation all done.
They kept checking my blood pressure etc at intervals and later on gave me some toast and a tea.
The surgeon come round and said everything went well and no follow up needed which made me happy.
All in all I would recommend this hospital as to me it was clean the staff was polite and efficient and the operation was a success.
Well done Tameside .
