Having several nose bleeds for the first time in my life I eventually ended up in A& E at Good Hope on the advice of 111. I was seen quite quickly and assessed with a follow up by a lovely doctor who fitted a 'pack' to stop the bleeding and arranged transfer to the ENT department at Heartlands. After a short stay in A& E there (no beds in ENT) I was transferred up to the ward about 8am.
I was seen by the doctor and told what was going to happen over the next few hours. The plan was executed exactly and after a small procedure I was discharged later in the afternoon. I have to say that I was impressed with the professionalism and friendliness of all the staff I came in contact with (including catering & cleaning). Special mention to Dr Malik and her junior assistant Emma who performed the procedure in an informative & good humoured way. Many thanks to all.
