This February my gynaecologist booked me for an appointment for a biopsy. The original date was 29.03.18. on the eve of this day I received a call from the hospital and the person on the other end of the line told me that the appointment's been cancelled and they will contact me when the new date is available.
The new date was 02.05.18. On 25th of April I received a call from the admissions office confirming the date. A couple of hours later received another call and was told that my appointment's been cancelled again, because somebody else needs the biopsy.
How exactly do you decide who's health or life is more important? Is it the social status? Wealth? Or maybe nationality?
When originally booking the first appointment, my doctor told me to come see him as soon as the results are available, because they have suspicion that I might have cancer. When exactly should I expect this procedure to be done? When I hit the last stage maybe?
I work an honest job, I pay my taxes honestly and this might sound weird to You but I expect honest and equal treatment too.
If I miss the appointment, I'm being threatened with fines yet I don't see any information as to who is going to pay the days off I, my partner (person to help me get home after the said procedure, as per your instructions) and my employer had to take for those 2 cancelled appointments already. We are not getting paid for those days. Meaning this circus already cost a total of 6 unpaid days of work to us already and at this rate there is no guarantee that the next appointment will not get cancelled too.
I would like to know what exactly is going on there and who is responsible for this whole mess?
