"We felt like we mattered"

I was involved in a minor car accident. 3 of us who were in my partners car at the time of the accident visited a&e a few days later due to some pain we are experiencing. On arrival at Wishaw General Hospital we gave our details to reception and then were asked to take a seat, the waiting time was showing as 3 hours which brought some dread as it was uncomfortable for us to sit for long! However this soon changed as we were called within 20 mins.

Got BP and pulse taken, then took another seat. 10 minutes later a gentleman Alan (physio) called us through, he spoke to all 3 off us and assessed each of us (individually). The care and support Alan showed was amazing made our panic, dread state turn to a comfort situation we felt like we mattered and were being taken care of!

Alan ran through some tests on us and explained clearly why we were getting this pain, discomfort.   My sister 15 years of age was along side me and partner she had under gone spinal surgery 1 and a half years ago, Alan soon knew this and wanted her X-rayed to ensure everything was ok! Thank you very much Alan for everything!
