"Having insoles made"

About: Adult community health services / Podiatry

(as the patient),

I had an ankle injury from taking off a wellington boot of all things.

I went to see the GP and I was sent to see the podiatrist in Burnham. The person I saw was very thorough and spent a good hour and a half with me. I received some insoles to use in my shoes. Some are now in my walking boots so I can go hill walking, something I couldn’t do before!

I think the insoles were a bit high as they still hurt a little after a couple of weeks so I went to see someone privately and they altered them slightly for me.

Hello,

Thank you for leaving this feedback. I'm glad that you found the podiatry service so helpful and thorough.

I have passed your feedback to the podiatry manager, Emma. She said that if you have any future problems with your insoles then you can return to podiatry for a reassessment. I'm sorry if this wasn't made clear but I'm glad you got them sorted in the end.

Enjoy your hillwalking!

Best wishes, LUCY
