My grandson has cystic fibrosis and i often bring him in for his appointments and visit him when he is there.
He was diagnosed when he was three months old, after taking a while to come to a diagnosis. He is now nine and I have always been very pleased with the care he has received at Burton hospital. The children's ward is fantastic with lots to do and great for the carers, I can often be found playing football with the children. My grandson never worries when we tell him he is coming in to the hospital.
Occasionally he has had to stay in a room of his own due to infection control but again the nurses ensure he has enough to keep him occupied and he is always well looked after.
The only one issue I have is with the car parking at the hospital, sometimes you can be backed up in a queue right to the island. This is the last thing people need to worry about when you are anxious anyway about having to come to hospital.
